As a Cybersecurity Systems Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding our advanced defense systems. This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field in Science or Mathematics. A Department of Defense TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance is mandatory at the time of hire.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate within a cross-functional team to deliver effective cybersecurity solutions.
- Support certification and accreditation processes to evaluate and reduce system security vulnerabilities throughout the project lifecycle.
- Apply strong knowledge of systems engineering principles during the system development lifecycle.
- Utilize cybersecurity frameworks and guidelines, including NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF) and Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).
- Conduct thorough vulnerability and compliance assessments across various platforms, including operating systems, web servers, databases, and network devices.
- Lead a dedicated cybersecurity team to implement cutting-edge security measures that align with customer missions.
- Stay informed on industry and DHS cybersecurity technologies to ensure that engineering projects adhere to or exceed best practices.
Qualifications:
- Active Department of Defense TS/SCI security clearance with Polygraph.
- Current security certification (Security+ or CISSP) is required.
- Demonstrated expertise in cybersecurity technologies and trends to develop and execute security engineering solutions.
