Position Overview:
The Salvation Army Austin is seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Front Desk Associate. This role is pivotal in delivering outstanding customer service and ensuring a welcoming environment for all visitors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional service at the front desk, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for clients and guests.
  • Manage incoming calls professionally, directing them to the appropriate personnel and responding to inquiries with accurate information.
  • Maintain security protocols by logging the entry and exit of clients, employees, and visitors.
  • Monitor the premises through the security camera system, reporting any suspicious activities promptly.
  • Perform clerical tasks, including filing and typing, to support the operational needs of the organization.
  • Communicate program eligibility and referral information clearly to clients and community partners.
  • Handle inquiries and complaints with professionalism, ensuring concerns are addressed in alignment with our mission.

Qualifications:
Applicants should possess a High School Diploma or GED. An Associate degree in Business, Public Relations, Communications, or a related field is preferred. Candidates should have at least two years of experience in a fast-paced environment managing a telephone switchboard or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

Physical Requirements:
Successful candidates must be able to meet attendance requirements, communicate effectively in English, and perform basic mathematical computations. The role is primarily office-based, with duties performed while seated, though occasional standing or walking may be required.
