The primary role of the Facilities Coordinator involves overseeing the maintenance and repair of facilities, assessing agency asset requirements, and communicating procurement needs to management. Responsibilities also include managing workspace distribution, setting up conference and meeting rooms, ensuring accountability for telecommunication equipment, administering the parking pass program, and adhering to security protocols for the facility.

This position plays a vital role in supporting the agency's mission by contributing to the facilities team and tracking non-IT assets. A structured and consistent approach to internal operations is essential, aligning with the organization's mission, vision, values, goals, and objectives while delivering exceptional customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors.

Essential Qualifications

  • Strong focus on customer service.
  • Ability to engage with employees, contractors, and suppliers at all levels.
  • Capacity to respond promptly to changing facilities-related demands.
  • Sound judgment in decision-making to maintain a well-functioning and pleasant working environment.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with general financial principles and state procurement practices.
  • Ability to troubleshoot audio-visual issues in meeting spaces and coordinate with vendors for resolution.
  • Comprehensive understanding of facilities operations and administrative support.

Additional Considerations

  • Experience with eVA for entering purchase orders and requisitions.
  • Familiarity with Visio software.
