Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a highly skilled Patient Service Representative to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support.
Key Responsibilities- Patient Registration: Verify patient demographics, obtain insurance cards and identification, and update medical records accurately and efficiently.
- Scheduling and Coordination: Schedule appointments, transcribe orders, and coordinate bed placement needs to ensure prompt and appropriate placement of patients.
- Communication and Customer Service: Provide strong communication and excellent customer service skills by greeting patients and the community in a respectful manner.
- Problem-Solving and Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve problems promptly, ensuring patient flow is maintained and informing Supervisor of any department and patient issues immediately.
- Education: High School Degree or GED
- Experience: Prior experience in the healthcare field or a related area is preferred but not required
- Skills and Abilities: Possesses problem-solving skills, basic computer skills, 40 WPM typing skills with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
