Supported by the Office of the Senior Vice President for Health Sciences (OSVPHS), the Division for Academic Success (DAS) at the Commonwealth of Virginia is dedicated to creating inclusive and accessible educational environments. Position Summary & Responsibilities

We are seeking an Examination Services Coordinator to become a vital member of the DAS team. This role entails administering and supervising assessments at the DAS Testing Center, delivering crucial support to students and faculty within health sciences disciplines.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Interpreting exam guidelines, distributing assessment materials, and supervising candidates during evaluations
  • Addressing exam-related inquiries and clarifying Testing Center protocols
  • Ensuring a secure testing atmosphere in accordance with the institution's Honor Code
  • Facilitating testing accommodations in collaboration with the Senior Testing Center Coordinator
  • Assisting students with basic technical issues
  • Supporting the management of exam materials and associated documentation
  • Upholding the confidentiality and security of assessment content
  • Serving as a backup to the Senior Testing Center Coordinator for scheduling exams and addressing student/faculty requests
  • Conducting data entry and administrative duties as required (e.g., printing, scanning, shredding)

This position requires availability during standard working hours, typically from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with some flexibility based on departmental requirements.

Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in data entry and management
  • Exceptional customer service and conflict resolution skills
  • Commitment to effectively engaging with diverse populations and abilities
  • Innovative problem-solving capabilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently in a dynamic environment
  • Experience in promoting diversity among faculty, staff, and students, or a willingness to support this initiative
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in disability services for post-secondary students with disabilities
  • Familiarity with Google applications and Microsoft Windows-based software
