Position Overview:

We are looking for a seasoned and proactive Permanent Controller to manage our financial operations and guide our financial strategy. The ideal candidate will oversee budget management, financial analysis, and forecasting, ensuring the business operates efficiently and sustainably. This role demands a comprehensive understanding of the finance sector and a visionary approach to steer the company's financial future.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Supervise all accounting practices within the organization, including the accounting department, budget preparation, financial reporting, and audit functions.
2. Lead financial strategy, planning, and forecasting in collaboration with executive leadership.
3. Conduct thorough analyses to address ongoing or unique operational challenges.
4. Analyze long-term economic trends and assess their implications for future sales and market growth.
5. Engage in critical decision-making as part of the executive management team.
6. Coordinate the preparation of financial statements, reports, and special analyses.
7. Develop and implement finance, accounting, billing, and auditing protocols.
8. Establish and maintain robust internal control measures.
9. Collaborate with other managers to provide financial insights and recommendations for planning initiatives.
10. Ensure compliance with generally accepted auditing standards in record-keeping.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field; MBA, CPA, or CMA certification is preferred.
2. At least 5 years of experience in a senior finance or accounting role.
3. Strong knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles, including GAAP.
4. Familiarity with automated financial reporting systems.
5. Understanding of federal and state financial regulations.
6. Ability to analyze financial data and generate comprehensive reports and projections.
7. Proven experience in strategic planning at the management level.
8. Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly advanced Excel skills.
9. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
10. Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
