Position Overview:
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Permanent Controller to manage our financial operations and guide our financial planning and structure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing budget management, conducting financial analysis, and ensuring the functionality of our business to foster extensive and sustainable growth. This role demands a comprehensive understanding of the finance sector and a visionary approach to navigate our company's financial future.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Supervise all accounting practices within the organization, including accounting departments, budget preparation, financial reporting, tax compliance, and audit functions.
2. Lead financial strategy, planning, and forecasting in collaboration with executive leadership.
3. Perform in-depth analyses to address ongoing or unique operational challenges.
4. Analyze long-term economic trends and assess their implications for future sales and market share growth.
5. Engage in critical decision-making as part of the executive management team.
6. Oversee the preparation of financial statements, reports, and special analyses.
7. Develop and implement financial, accounting, billing, and auditing procedures.
8. Establish and maintain robust internal control systems.
9. Collaborate with other managers to provide consultative support for planning initiatives through financial analyses and recommendations.
10. Ensure compliance with generally accepted auditing standards in record-keeping.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field; MBA, CPA, or CMA certification preferred.
2. At least 5 years of experience in a senior finance or accounting role.
3. Strong knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles, including GAAP.
4. Familiarity with automated financial and accounting reporting systems.
5. Understanding of federal and state financial regulations.
6. Ability to analyze financial data and prepare comprehensive reports and projections.
7. Proven experience in strategic planning at the management level.
8. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly advanced Excel skills.
9. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
10. Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
