Job Overview

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

As the Operations Manager, you will oversee all activities during your shift. This encompasses managing costs, controlling inventory, handling cash, and ensuring excellent customer relations. You are expected to lead by example and adhere to all policies and procedures consistently.

Additional responsibilities include: staffing, administrative tasks, cost management, cash handling, food oversight, scheduling, maintaining a professional image, ensuring compliance with standards, delivering outstanding customer service, managing attendance and punctuality, coordinating transportation, maintaining store cleanliness, implementing marketing strategies, and driving profitability.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

General duties applicable to all team members include:

  • Operating all necessary equipment.
  • Stocking ingredients from delivery to storage and preparation areas.
  • Preparing food products.
  • Receiving and processing customer orders via phone.
  • Conducting inventory checks and completing related documentation.
  • Cleaning equipment and maintaining facility hygiene on a daily basis.

TRAINING

Comprehensive orientation and on-the-job training will be provided.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Must possess the ability to understand and provide clear written instructions. Effective verbal communication with customers and colleagues is essential for processing orders both over the phone and in person.

CORE SKILLS AND FUNCTIONS

Key skills include:

  • Basic arithmetic skills for accurate calculations.
  • Ability to provide correct monetary change.
  • Strong verbal, written, and telephone communication skills for order processing.
  • Hand-eye coordination for precise and rapid movements.
  • Proficiency in entering orders using a computer or touchscreen interface.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Job conditions may include:

  • Exposure to varying weather conditions when performing outdoor tasks.
  • In-store temperatures ranging from 36°F in coolers to 90°F or higher in some areas.
  • Sudden temperature changes in work areas.
  • Fumes from food odors and exposure to cornmeal dust.
  • Working in confined spaces, including walk-in coolers.
  • Handling hot surfaces and sharp tools.

SENSORY REQUIREMENTS

Ability to communicate effectively via telephone and maintain near and mid-range vision for in-store tasks. Depth perception and the ability to distinguish between hot and cold surfaces are also necessary.

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

The role requires the ability to lead activities, perform repetitive tasks, work independently and collaboratively, manage stress, meet strict quality standards, interact with diverse individuals, analyze data, and make informed decisions.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Key physical requirements include:

  • Sitting: Paperwork is typically completed at a desk or table.
  • Lifting: Team members may lift bulk deliveries weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Carrying: Transporting items such as large cans and trays of dough.
  • Pushing: Moving trays on dollies with a force of up to 7.5 pounds.
  • Climbing: Occasionally navigating stairs or ladders for maintenance tasks.
