Position Overview:

The Highlands at Harbor Springs is seeking a dedicated individual to support the Front Desk Manager in enhancing and overseeing Front Desk operations. This role is essential in ensuring that all guests receive exceptional service during their stay, while also stepping into the manager's role in their absence. The Assistant Front Desk Manager will play a crucial part in fostering a friendly, attentive, and efficient team environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise team members and assess performance to ensure compliance with resort standards and procedures.
  • Facilitate prompt and courteous check-in and check-out processes for guests.
  • Proactively address issues related to guest accommodations and pricing.
  • Train team members to meet service expectations and deliver exceptional guest experiences.
  • Resolve guest complaints or concerns in a friendly and timely manner.
  • Maintain the aesthetic appeal of the front office area.
  • Collaborate with other department managers to ensure seamless operations.
  • Become knowledgeable about the resort's accommodations, meeting spaces, and services.
  • Exhibit behavior that aligns with the company's core values (LEAD).
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager.

Qualifications:

  • Previous supervisory and front desk experience is preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with the ability to handle payment transactions.
  • Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays is essential.
  • Experience with point of sale software and proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
