Manufacturing Program Coordinator

Overview

Reporting to senior management within the Manufacturing Business Unit (BU), the Manufacturing Program Coordinator is tasked with overseeing and executing projects that align with budgetary, scope, and timeline constraints. This role encompasses a variety of initiatives within the Manufacturing BU, including new product introductions, enhancements to existing products, quality assurance improvements, cost reduction strategies, and efficiency optimization. The Coordinator will manage multiple projects simultaneously and collaborate with various stakeholders to define project objectives, key performance indicators (KPIs), and provide ongoing updates on project status.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Communication: Lead project teams and maintain effective communication with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Organization and Time Management: Organize tasks efficiently, delegate responsibilities, and ensure timely completion of project deliverables within budget.
  • Problem Solving and Adaptability: Exhibit strong problem-solving abilities and adapt project plans as necessary to achieve successful outcomes.
  • Team Motivation and Management: Foster team motivation, resolve conflicts, and encourage collaboration among team members and stakeholders.

Project Planning and Setup:

  • Work with stakeholders to establish project goals and requirements.
  • Develop project budgets, implement cost-tracking methods, and create detailed project plans.

Project Execution:

  • Ensure project success by delivering high-quality results on schedule and within defined scope.
  • Manage project resources, tasks, and maintain effective communication with stakeholders.
  • Identify and address project risks proactively.
  • Document project progress and maintain thorough project records.

Risk Management and Mitigation:

  • Conduct risk assessments and collaborate with stakeholders to develop mitigation strategies.
  • Escalate unresolved risks to management for appropriate resolution.

Project Status Reporting:

  • Utilize project management tools to regularly track and report on project performance to leadership.
  • Implement reporting mechanisms to enhance visibility of project status.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in business, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience in product development/manufacturing.
  • PMP Certification is preferred or a willingness to pursue certification.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in project/program management within manufacturing or construction sectors.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (preferably IFS or SAP) and CAD software (AutoCAD).

Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated capabilities in project management.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects with attention to detail.
  • Understanding of sales processes, strategic objectives, and project delivery requirements.
