Job Title: Program Coordinator

Join Duke University's esteemed team as a Program Coordinator, playing a pivotal role in the implementation and administration of Graduate Medical Education programs. This dynamic position requires a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to manage various aspects of the programs, ensuring seamless execution and compliance with national and institutional requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of current rules, regulations, and institutional requirements, including Board, ACGME, and Duke GME.
  • Design and publish recruitment materials for prospective trainees, ensuring compliance with AAMC National Resident Ranking Program (NRMP) requirements.
  • Organize annual recruitment of fellows and residents, utilizing ERAS national database for trainee recruitment.
  • Provide management assistance to other GME Program Coordinators, Program Directors, and faculty members, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Represent the divisions and department on required hospital/institutional/national committees, attending meetings as necessary.
  • Manage monthly and semi-annual evaluations of trainees, ensuring compliance with national, hospital, departmental, and program policies.
  • Collaborate with other divisions and departments to ensure quality trainee education, interfacing with the Institutional office of GME and working with the Designated Institutional Official.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with one year of experience in program administration or academic, instructional, or counseling activities.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
