Job Summary

Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Cook to join our team at Morrison Healthcare. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of menu items to ensure high-quality and nutritious meals for our patients and staff.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and cook a variety of menu items, including entrees, sides, and desserts, following established recipes and guidelines.
  • Operate and maintain kitchen equipment, including ovens, stoves, and refrigerators, to ensure cleanliness and safety.
  • Store and label food items according to company policies and procedures.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, including sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces.
  • Follow HACCP guidelines to ensure the quality and safety of food served.
  • Collaborate with the Food Service Director to plan and implement menu changes and special events.
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients, staff, and visitors.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; culinary degree or certification preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a commercial kitchen, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
