Role Summary: The Integration Engineer is pivotal in managing both automated and manual data integrations across our primary platforms. This position combines analytical skills with subject matter expertise, focusing on integrations with essential customers, vendors, and external systems. Key responsibilities include implementing and maintaining EDI/FTP integrations, web services/API integrations, and automating manual data submissions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the lead engineer and subject matter expert for system integrations with key partners.
  • Create functional and technical design documentation for various logistics processes.
  • Communicate integration designs and solutions effectively to diverse audiences.
  • Oversee third-party integration relationships to ensure high-quality outcomes.
  • Implement and support EDI/FTP integrations for seamless data exchange.
  • Design and maintain middleware processes, including orchestration.
  • Develop and sustain web services/API integrations, ensuring compliance with security standards.
  • Automate manual data submission processes to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Manage integration mappings and processes, including testing and troubleshooting.
  • Facilitate various EDI transactions, including customer onboarding and logistical interactions.
  • Collaborate with data services and operations teams to minimize integration errors.
  • Work with IT and Business Intelligence teams to monitor and report on integration performance.
  • Resolve integration issues promptly and provide ongoing support for existing integrations.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in integration technologies.
  • Represent the company during customer onboarding and third-party integration discussions.
  • Design and implement B2B solutions across multiple channels.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Expertise in various file formats, including EDI X12, JSON, and XML.
  • At least 3 years of technical experience in EDI development, including onboarding and mapping.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in business analysis for API web services and integrations.
  • At least 2 years of experience with Azure Web/App Services.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in the logistics or transportation sector, particularly in trucking or port operations.
  • Project management experience for integration development and onboarding projects.
  • Familiarity with .NET applications supporting EDI and API processes.
  • Experience in developing with .NET (C#) or Java (1.8 or better) is advantageous.
  • Ability to write SQL scripts for data analysis and reporting.
  • Experience with enterprise middleware tools like Dell Boomi.
  • Knowledge of Azure DevOps.
  • Experience with Agile project management and SCRUM methodologies is a plus.
