Role Summary The Integration Engineer is pivotal in managing both automated and manual data integrations across our core systems. This position serves as both an analyst and a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for integrations involving key clients, vendors, and external systems. The primary responsibilities include the implementation and continuous support of three essential integration areas: EDI/FTP, web services/API, and the automation of manual data submissions. Development tasks in these areas may also be required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the lead engineer and SME for system integrations with key partners.
  • Create functional and technical design documentation for various logistics processes.
  • Communicate integration designs and solutions effectively to diverse audiences.
  • Oversee third-party integration relationships to ensure quality outcomes.
  • Implement and maintain EDI/FTP integrations for seamless data exchange.
  • Design and manage middleware processes, including orchestration.
  • Develop and sustain web services/API integrations to enhance connectivity, ensuring compliance with security standards.
  • Automate manual data submission processes to boost operational efficiency.
  • Manage integration mappings and processes, including testing and troubleshooting.
  • Implement various EDI transactions, including customer onboarding and logistical interactions.
  • Collaborate with data services and operations teams to minimize integration errors.
  • Work with IT and Business Intelligence teams to establish monitoring and reporting processes.
  • Resolve integration issues promptly.
  • Provide ongoing support for existing integrations.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in integration technologies.
  • Represent the organization in external discussions during customer onboarding and integration projects.
  • Design and implement B2B solutions across multiple channels.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Expertise in various file formats, including EDI X12, JSON, and XML.
  • At least 3 years of experience in technical EDI development, including onboarding and mapping.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in business analysis related to API web services.
  • At least 2 years of experience with Azure Web/App Services.

Additional Skills and Experience

  • Experience in the logistics or transportation sector.
  • Ability to manage integration development projects.
  • Familiarity with .NET applications supporting EDI and API processes.
  • Experience with .NET (C#) or Java (1.8 or higher) is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in writing SQL scripts for data analysis.
  • Experience with enterprise middleware tools like Dell Boomi.
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps.
  • Understanding of Agile project management and SCRUM methodologies.
