Position Summary

We are in search of a meticulous and experienced EDI Integration Specialist to oversee and manage the electronic data interchange processes between our organization and its partners. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of EDI standards and protocols, along with strong analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively. This role may also involve assisting with various integration types, including flat file, FTP, and API integrations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the onboarding of new trading partners, manage EDI testing, and address any data exchange issues.
  • Monitor EDI transactions, promptly identifying and rectifying errors to maintain seamless information flow.
  • Develop and sustain EDI mapping, including translation rules, to enhance electronic data exchanges.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to gather business requirements, ensuring adherence to EDI standards.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for EDI processes, including mapping specifications and trading partner profiles.
  • Stay informed on industry trends in EDI protocols, recommending enhancements to improve operational efficiency.
  • Work with technical teams to integrate EDI systems with internal platforms, ensuring consistent data flow.
  • Provide training and support to users on EDI tools and best practices.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with EDI guidelines, focusing on data accuracy and security.

Required Skills and Experience

  • In-depth knowledge of EDI protocols such as ANSI X12, XML, and AS2.
  • Proficiency in EDI mapping tools like Boomi or equivalent software.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot data communication issues.
  • Understanding of business processes in supply chain, logistics, or retail.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in handling large data volumes.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with teams and partners.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and technical documentation tools.

  • Experience in logistics or transportation sectors.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies.
  • Adaptability to new technologies and tools.
  • Experience with scripting languages for EDI automation.
  • Certification in EDI or related fields is advantageous.
  • Ability to write SQL scripts for data analysis.
