Join Our Team as a Financial Planning Analyst

Kelly is seeking a skilled Financial Planning Analyst to become a vital part of our packaging and logistics solutions organization.

  • Temporary position, approximately 3-4 months
  • Compensation range: $44-48/hour, commensurate with experience
  • Hybrid work model: 3 days in the office, 2 days remote
  • Full-time schedule, Monday through Friday

Key Responsibilities

  • Develops the annual operational and capital budget alongside a comprehensive 5-year business strategy, collaborating with operations management to assess the effects of operational changes compared to previous years.
  • Engages with business leaders regularly to align with the division's key objectives and to establish Finance as a reliable partner.
  • Analyzes monthly performance against budgetary expectations, identifies reasons for discrepancies, and seeks opportunities for enhancement.
  • Provides preliminary diagnostic data to support management in crafting action plans aimed at financial improvement when necessary.
  • Conducts in-depth analyses utilizing extensive and complex data sets in areas such as financial performance, expense management, return on investment, depreciation, working capital, and investment strategies.
  • Advises on pricing strategies, employing strong negotiation skills and a meticulous, data-driven approach to pricing that safeguards profit margins; manages daily pricing requests.
  • Participates in departmental and cross-departmental planning and management teams, collaborating to enhance organizational processes.
  • Leads the formulation of departmental procedures and performance metrics.
  • Creates and maintains cost estimates, forecasts, and financial models.
  • Ensures consistent attendance and punctuality.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline is strongly preferred.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in finance or accounting, particularly in forecasting, financial planning, and P&L management.
  • Experience with SAP is advantageous.
