Position Summary
As a Lead Financial Specialist within our client's Client Accounting Services division, you will leverage your financial acumen to manage a diverse portfolio of high-profile clients across various sectors. You will be responsible for ensuring that all tasks are executed efficiently and accurately, maintaining a focus on delivering exceptional service to both clients and team members.

Your role will also involve collaborating with colleagues to brainstorm and strategize on projects, fostering a team-oriented environment that promotes success for all involved. Your extensive knowledge of financial principles and practices, gained from prior experience in the finance sector, will be invaluable in this position. Above all, you will prioritize the needs and expectations of clients, establishing yourself as their trusted advisor.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage daily financial operations:
  • Accounts payable and receivable
  • Cash management
  • General ledger maintenance
  • Payroll administration
  • Account reconciliations
  • Sales and mill tax payroll
  • Fixed asset management
  • Plan, assign, and review client engagements
  • Contribute to departmental and staff goal-setting
  • Develop and document operational processes and policies to enhance internal controls
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities, general ledger functions, and posting of adjusting journal entries
  • Evaluate and recommend improvements to accounting systems and procedures for increased efficiency

Qualifications & Skills:

  • CPA or CMA certification preferred but not mandatory
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting; experience in public accounting is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
  • Comprehensive understanding of accounting practices
  • Strong and professional communication abilities
  • Proficiency in accounting software and technology; familiarity with Accounting CAS and QuickBooks (both Desktop and Online) is preferred
