Position Overview:

Are you prepared to lead financial operations in a vibrant and fast-paced setting? We are in search of an experienced and strategic Division Financial Controller to join our finance team in the construction sector.

This pivotal leadership role will report directly to the Corporate Controller / CFO and is crucial for the financial stability and growth of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Division Financial Controller, your duties will include:

  • Supervising the preparation and analysis of consolidated financial statements in line with GAAP.
  • Establishing, executing, and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures.
  • Managing the annual budget process, including reviewing and analyzing budget proposals and financial strategies.
  • Generating Job Status Reports and providing detailed insights to management regarding project performance and financial metrics.
  • Delivering accurate revenue forecasts to aid in strategic decision-making.
  • Coordinating with external auditors and overseeing the audit process to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Leading and mentoring finance staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Collaborating with department heads to align financial management with operational objectives.
  • Identifying and implementing process enhancements to improve efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting.

Qualifications:
To be considered for the Division Financial Controller position, candidates should possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a financial management capacity, ideally within the construction industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of GAAP and experience in preparing consolidated financial statements.
  • Demonstrated experience in budget management, internal controls, and financial projections.
  • Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
  • Proven leadership skills with a track record of developing high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the capability to present complex financial data clearly.
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • CPA or CMA certification is highly desirable.
