We are expanding and seeking a Finance Analyst for our Reed Family Companies.

The Finance Analyst will be responsible for ensuring precise and timely financial reporting for all plant Profit and Loss statements, as well as construction projects at both the individual job level and the consolidated general ledger level. This role involves maintaining accounting records and generating financial reports on a monthly basis and as required. The Finance Analyst will collaborate closely with the operations team to analyze and enhance business performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee, monitor, and record Monthly/Weekly Equipment usage.
  • Track and document Daily Truck usage.
  • Review and log Daily Driver allocations and Driver Standard rates.
  • Notify management regarding Drivers' excessive overtime and idle time.
  • Supervise the accounting for Mobile Plant Jobs.
  • Compile Daily Production reports for RM plants.
  • Prepare Daily Production entries for Rock Plants.
  • Adjust Vista coding for Accounts Payable and Purchase orders.
  • Create ad hoc reports as requested by operations and accounting.
  • Lead the Bizview Budgeting and forecasting initiatives.
  • Coordinate the completion of the capital expense budgeting workbook.
  • Assist in developing Equipment rates and play a key role in the Monthly Equipment meeting.
  • Contribute to establishing standard costs for Rock plant products.
  • Support the Month-end inventory count.
  • Facilitate month-end closing procedures.
  • Conduct monthly reviews of various SSRS cost per ton reports with Operations.
  • Provide necessary information for the annual audit upon request.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects while utilizing strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated sense of responsibility for timely and accurate work completion, along with a commitment to corporate objectives.
  • Capability to thrive in fast-paced and high-pressure environments.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Experience with designing Queries and Pivot Tables is advantageous.
  • Prior experience with Vista Construction Software is a plus.
  • Bachelor's Degree (BA) or equivalent from a four-year college or university in finance or accounting; and/or related experience and/or training, or a combination of education and experience.
