Position Overview

The Enrollment Management Specialist will report directly to the Director of Student Success and Recruitment, playing a pivotal role in enhancing student enrollment within the College of Science (COS) undergraduate programs. This position involves crafting and executing innovative strategies aimed at attracting and enrolling students, aligning with the objectives established by the College of Science and UTA Enrollment Management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Recruitment Planning: Formulate and execute detailed recruitment strategies for the College of Science in partnership with the Director of Student Success and Recruitment and UTA Enrollment Management. Identify and utilize novel marketing, recruitment, and retention techniques to boost student enrollment.
  • Outreach and Engagement: Represent the College of Science at various recruitment events, including information sessions, forums, open houses, and orientations. Engage in strategic communication with prospective students through various channels such as phone, online chats, social media, and traditional correspondence. Organize and manage events aimed at increasing student enrollment, including receptions, forums, and college fairs.
  • Collaboration and Liaison: Collaborate closely with COS Academic Units and University Communications to assist in the creation and dissemination of marketing materials, including brochures, flyers, and digital content. Act as a liaison between the College of Science, UTA Admissions and Recruitment, and other relevant departments, aiding prospective students throughout the application and enrollment process.
  • Creative Development: Propose and assess creative graphic solutions, including promotional materials and digital content. Develop communication and marketing materials to support ongoing and future program initiatives.
  • Event Management: Lead the College of Science Welcome session during new student orientations and oversee academic programming for events such as Family and Friends Weekend, in collaboration with relevant offices. Assist with student activities and events.
  • Program Development: Recruit, train, and manage the COS Outreach Ambassador program. Participate in university-wide committees focused on outreach and orientation efforts.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with a minimum of two years of experience in university recruitment or student affairs, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Preferred experience in higher education recruitment.
  • Strong marketing and recruitment skills, with a solid understanding of industry best practices.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Experience in managing student ambassador programs.

Skills and Abilities

  • Exceptional communication skills, including interpersonal, presentation, and writing abilities.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience with graphic design and content management for digital platforms. Proficiency in relevant technologies and social media platforms.
