About the Position:

The Enrollment Advisor plays a crucial role in the strategic planning and execution of recruitment initiatives. This position collaborates with the Assistant Directors to enhance outreach efforts and implement effective communication strategies across multiple platforms aimed at engaging prospective and admitted students. The Enrollment Advisor also assists in the admissions application review process.

Responsibilities:

Recruitment and Yield

  • Engages proactively with prospective students and applicants;
  • Acts as the primary contact for prospective students, guiding them through the enrollment process with professionalism and respect;
  • Ensures timely and courteous correspondence with all inquiries;
  • Follows up strategically during the recruitment cycle to address questions and support applicants;
  • Aids in developing strategies to optimize applicant yield;
  • Collaborates with Assistant Directors to plan and execute recruitment events, representing the institution at various local and national events.

Marketing & Events

  • Works closely with the Marketing and Communications Department to implement departmental communication strategies;
  • Sends regular communications to prospective and admitted students, maintaining an updated database;
  • Assists in creating marketing materials for events and manages logistics for virtual engagements;
  • Supports event planning for prospective and admitted students, including tracking RSVPs and managing communications.

Purchasing & Travel Reimbursements

  • Manages procurement of recruitment materials for the Admissions Office;
  • Oversees budgeting and reporting for major purchases, including digital advertising;
  • Coordinates travel arrangements for recruitment events and manages reimbursement processes for students;
  • Provides regular updates on travel expenditures to the Associate Dean.

Reading and Selection

  • Evaluates applications for admission and makes informed decisions;
  • Reviews a substantial number of applications weekly.

Additional duties may be assigned to support departmental objectives and the mission of the law school.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience;
  • Background in higher education or customer service;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database management;
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with a detail-oriented approach;
  • Ability to make sound decisions independently;
  • Valid driver's license, meeting all operational requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in admissions, student recruitment, or enrollment management;
  • Familiarity with ACES2 or Banner systems;
  • Understanding of law school curricula and missions;
  • Critical thinking skills to address complex challenges.
