Job Summary:
Strategic Risk Solutions Inc. (SRS), a leading provider of financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and program management services to captive insurance companies, is seeking an experienced Accountant to join our US East Captive Management servicing team.
About the Role:
- As a key member of our client account team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality financial and regulatory reports to our clients.
- You will maintain and reconcile General Ledger, prepare and peer review monthly and quarterly financial statements, and prepare and file premium tax returns.
- You will also be responsible for accurate and timely preparation of regulatory filings, daily verbal and written client communications, and managing client financial audits.
- Additionally, you will prepare for and attend client Board of Director meetings and liaise with clients' third-party service providers and state regulators.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required; CPA a plus but not required.
- 3-5 years of financial accounting experience; captive management or insurance industry highly preferred.
- Insurance accounting and auditing experience preferred; will consider commercial or public accounting experience.
- Experience with Excel and financial accounting/general ledger accounting software.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team or on individually assigned tasks in an environment where attention to detail and prioritization skills are essential.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to travel up to 5% domestically as needed.
