Position Overview


nFocus Solutions is in search of a Lead Systems Architect to deliver technical direction and systems engineering expertise for the advancement of cutting-edge military training solutions tailored for the Army and Marine Corps.

The focus will be on the design, development, integration, and deployment of Live Virtual Constructive training frameworks to the operational environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Formulate solutions that align with customer specifications and technical performance metrics while adhering to project timelines and budgetary limits.
  • Provide technical guidance to cross-functional engineering teams for significant programs and initiatives from inception to successful completion.
  • Assist in the creation of system architecture, design specifications, and interface development.
  • Support critical milestone evaluations in the product development lifecycle, including System Requirements Review (SRR), Preliminary Design Review (PDR), Critical Design Review (CDR), Test Readiness Review (TRR), and Government Acceptance Testing (GAT).
  • Contribute to the establishment of laboratory infrastructure to facilitate product demonstrations and rehearsals for field deployments.
  • Conduct site assessments to gather data for design documentation and installation strategies.
  • Willingness to travel to client locations for installation, testing, troubleshooting, and requirements validation with end-users.
  • Implement established best practice engineering methodologies throughout the engineering development lifecycle.
  • Design and evaluate systems and equipment, including computational, network, and mechanical/electrical interfaces.
  • Conduct trade-off analyses and feasibility assessments on system components such as vendor products, Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) items, Government Furnished Equipment (GFE), specifications, and manuals to evaluate design viability and application.
  • Lead requirements analysis, develop system specifications, and derive requirements for subordinate subsystems, elements, and components.
  • Actively participate in technical interchange meetings to collaborate with other teams and client representatives.
Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline is required.
  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant professional experience is necessary.
  • Familiarity with the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and Army Live Training Product Line (CTIA, LT2) is preferred.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Must possess the ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance.
