Job Overview:

The Lead Systems Architect is responsible for providing advanced judgment and analysis in the design, development, and execution of intricate computing systems. This role demands a technical authority in various specialized aspects of software systems design and support. The individual will formulate and create specifications for the most sophisticated operating software applications or modify and sustain existing complex applications. The position involves performing highly intricate technical tasks utilizing skills in programming, systems architecture, and software engineering. Work is conducted with a high degree of independence and initiative under the general oversight of the Enterprise IT Supervisor. Performance is evaluated through observations, discussions, reports, and the achievement of desired outcomes.

Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum of two years of systems design experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Conducts high-level project planning and management of hardware and software installations and upgrades.
  • Advises on technology solutions that will bolster and enhance the computing environment.
  • Establishes and implements policies for the utilization of the computing environment.
  • Provides guidance, direction, and reviews the work of other systems analysts.
  • Defines functional and technical specifications for hardware and software.
  • Researches and recommends innovative hardware and software technology approaches. Engages in complex problem diagnosis and resolution.
  • Offers technical leadership for system administrators, system programmers, or other assigned personnel.
  • Develops solutions utilizing one or more scripting languages.
  • Performs additional related duties as assigned.

Experience Preferences:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of infrastructure systems, application programming, and network connectivity.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work in a typical office environment and utilize standard office equipment.
  • Capacity to sit for extended periods; strength to lift and carry up to 35 pounds.
  • Vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate effectively.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related field, along with five years of systems design experience.

  • 8AM EST – 5PM EST
