Company Overview: Command Post Technologies, Inc. (CPT) is in search of a Senior Systems Engineer who will play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing system-level design documentation and supporting the development of architectural frameworks for the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the revision of system architecture documentation and technical guides.
  • Oversee the maintenance of comprehensive hardware schematics that depict all deployment systems.
  • Facilitate the acquisition of hardware, software, and licenses necessary for both development and operational purposes across the organization.
  • Engage in the planning, direction, and coordination of all program system engineering initiatives.
  • Continuously expand knowledge of emerging technologies, including advanced hardware and networking models.
  • Contribute to system design evaluations and the software development lifecycle.
  • Offer insights on design enhancements for cybersecurity tools and hardware related to the network.
  • Assist in resolving all outstanding program problem reports (PPRs) linked to system architecture documentation and hardware schematics.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in systems engineering, computer science, computer engineering, or a related field, accompanied by relevant experience demonstrating expertise in pertinent subjects.
  • A minimum of fifteen (15) years of proven experience in similar roles.
  • Demonstrated experience in creating and managing hardware schematics to outline facility hardware and HVAC specifications, server room configurations, rack elevation diagrams, and wiring layouts.
  • Experience in system-level architectural design encompassing software, hardware, and networked systems.
  • Familiarity with model-based systems engineering and the application of modeling standards such as SYSML, UML, etc., to depict hardware and software systems.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining system and software installation documentation.
  • Experience with government programs adhering to controlled engineering baselines.
  • Intermediate knowledge of computer networking and IT Service Management best practices.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively within teams.
  • Strong organizational capabilities.
  • U.S. citizenship and eligibility for Secret clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 12+ years of relevant experience in similar roles.
  • Understanding of virtualization and containerization technologies.
  • Excellent communication skills; capable of accurately reporting project status, identifying, assessing, and mitigating program risks, and articulating technical concepts to senior stakeholders.
  • Advanced knowledge of IT Service Management best practices.
  • Intermediate understanding of cybersecurity, including common risks to IT systems and enterprise IT concepts, architectures, and systems (compute, network, storage).
  • Familiarity with version control systems such as SVN and Git.
  • Knowledge of DevSecOps methodologies and tools.
