Position Overview

The Analytical Instruments division of Water Technologies and Solutions (Sievers Brand) is seeking a Sales Specialist focused on our Microbiology product line, which includes endotoxin and bioburden testing solutions. This role requires the development of robust partnerships with life science clients to enhance our market presence in endotoxin and bioburden testing platforms, generate new sales leads, and ensure the success of our users, with travel to client locations in the Western region.

To qualify for this position, candidates must reside in or be willing to relocate to specified states within the Western United States. This is a remote travel-based role, and the ideal candidate should be located within a reasonable distance from a major airport and possess the ability to travel to Canada. You will showcase our leading solutions, leverage your commercial acumen to expand networks at regional events, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support customer accounts while driving revenue growth and profitability. This region is rapidly expanding within the life sciences sector, and our commercial team is eager to welcome a member who can meet annual sales objectives, foster business growth through customer engagement, and pursue professional development through various training opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage in direct sales of Sievers endotoxin and bioburden detection technologies (instruments, consumables, and services) within the Western territory.
  • Achieve or surpass revenue and bookings targets in the assigned area, aiming for year-over-year business growth.
  • Demonstrate and present Sievers Eclipse and Soleil platforms at client locations.
  • Organize sales meetings utilizing existing databases and engage in cold calling and prospecting for new contacts.
  • Maintain and update all contacts, accounts, opportunities, and sales data in Salesforce CRM.
  • Manage the sales pipeline to meet both short-term and long-term sales goals, including prospecting, positioning, demonstrating solutions, quoting, and closing sales.
  • Provide accurate forecasts and performance metrics on a monthly basis.
  • Build and nurture positive relationships with clients.
  • Participate in company-sponsored trade shows and identify local or regional conferences that could generate sales opportunities.
  • Maintain a technical understanding of competitors' products and sales strategies.

Core Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, or a related Life Sciences field.
  • A technical background with a minimum of three years of field sales and/or applications experience.
  • At least three years of experience in the sales of analytical instrumentation.
