Position Overview:

  • This role is part of our New Shepard project, a reusable suborbital rocket system transporting astronauts and research payloads to space.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enhance and maintain instrumentation and control (I&C) systems for the New Shepard Ground Subsystems.
  • Participate in project scope definition and daily maintenance activities.
  • Collaborate with production teams to address equipment challenges.
  • Work closely with various teams to ensure functionality of I&C equipment.
  • Ensure timely completion of software development for ground I&C systems.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Controls Engineer.
  • Proficiency in industrial controls equipment and instrumentation.
  • Ability to interpret electrical drawings and diagrams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Controls Engineer experience.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and PLC programming.
  • Familiarity with electrical safety and machine standards.
  • Expertise in project reporting and stakeholder communication.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Salary range for on-site Washington applicants: $109,980-$153,972.
  • Medical, dental, vision, life insurance, parental leave, disability coverage, 401(k) with company match, and an Education Support Program.
  • Up to four weeks of paid time off per year, plus 14 company holidays.
  • Discretionary bonuses offered based on individual and company performance.
