About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Aerospace Engineer to join our team at Blue Origin. As a key member of our Engines business unit, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing propulsion systems for our next-generation rockets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain software used by design, analysis, and test teams to model the performance of liquid rocket engine components.
  • Gather project requirements from engineering teams and plan roadmaps for development projects.
  • Document and validate delivered code and provide training on correct usage.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure software meets or exceeds requirements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or related engineering discipline.
  • 2+ years of experience developing software for analysis and 1+ year of experience building or modifying solvers for fluid dynamics and/or heat transfer.
  • Strong understanding of finite volume and/or finite element analysis and numerical methods.
  • Proven problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent understanding of Python or MATLAB.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's or Ph.D. in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering.
  • History of working with CI/CD processes.
  • Skilled with version control software, preferably Git.
  • Proficiency with at least one compiled language used for scientific computing, such as Fortran, C, or C++.
  • Demonstrated experience managing software development projects.
