About Us:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct technical assessments for the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and other stakeholders to ensure the integrity and safety of nuclear facilities, management of nuclear materials, and disposal of radioactive waste.
  • Perform independent calculations and simulations to support safety evaluations related to nuclear operations.
  • Assist in the development of proposals and engage in business development initiatives relevant to your area of expertise.
Daily Tasks:
  • Provide expert knowledge in nuclear safety for technical and regulatory evaluations concerning the safety of nuclear fuel cycle operations, including processes such as conversion, enrichment, fabrication, storage, transportation, reprocessing, and disposal.
  • Analyze regulatory frameworks and guidance documents to assess their relevance to advanced and accident-tolerant nuclear fuels.
  • Enhance reviews with independent analyses, including calculations and modeling.
  • Contribute to the creation of comprehensive reports.
  • Support initiatives aimed at business growth.
Qualifications:
  • A Master's or PhD in Nuclear Engineering or a related engineering discipline with a focus on nuclear applications is required.
  • For PhD holders, no prior experience is necessary if the dissertation is directly related.
  • For Master's degree holders, a minimum of 1 year of experience in nuclear fuels and materials is required. Candidates must successfully complete a conflict of interest evaluation.
  • Desirable experience includes knowledge of nuclear fuel cycle safety, nuclear codes (such as inventory physics, shielding, and criticality), radioactive waste management, and nuclear power plant operations.
  • Strong writing and communication skills are essential. Candidates should be independent thinkers capable of working autonomously or collaboratively under varying levels of supervision.
  • Due to contract stipulations, candidates must be U.S. citizens or have held U.S. Permanent Residency for at least 5 years.
Additional Requirements:

All candidates must successfully pass a conflict of interest evaluation and qualify for NRC clearance.
