Position Overview:

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for orchestrating and guiding the accounting functions within the department. This role includes overseeing the creation of financial statements to monitor the organization’s assets, liabilities, income, expenses, tax obligations, and other financial activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develops internal controls and protocols for accounting transactions and budget formulation.
  • Supervises the preparation of business activity reports, financial projections, and yearly budgets.
  • Manages the generation of regular financial reports; ensures compliance with generally accepted accounting principles or financial reporting standards.
  • Handles tax strategy throughout the fiscal year; prepares annual corporate tax filings.
  • Conducts audits to ensure adherence to state and federal regulations; collaborates with external auditors and supplies necessary information for the annual audit.
  • Offers strategic recommendations to management regarding short- and long-term financial goals and policies.
  • Delivers financial analysis focusing on capital investments, pricing strategies, and contract negotiations.
  • Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline is required.
  • CPA designation is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience is necessary.
  • Experience in Cost Accounting is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in GAAP is essential.
