Job Overview

Century Group is collaborating with a client in search of a Temporary-to-Hire Senior Accountant for a Hybrid position. The anticipated starting base salary ranges from $40 to $45 per hour.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Formulate and oversee budgets, forecasts, and financial projections.
  • Compile and evaluate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
  • Manage and uphold the general ledger, ensuring precision and adherence to accounting principles.
  • Execute regular reconciliations of balance sheet accounts, pinpointing and rectifying discrepancies.
  • Perform financial analysis to facilitate business decisions, including variance analysis and cost management.
  • Coordinate and assist with internal and external audits, ensuring timely and accurate data is available.
  • Remain informed on changes in accounting regulations and ensure the company's financial practices comply with all applicable laws.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. CPA or CMA certification is preferred.
  • CPA or CPA tracking.
  • A minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in general ledger accounting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (Large ERP) and advanced skills in MS Excel.
Experience:
  • Comprehensive understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and tax regulations.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities, capable of presenting complex financial information clearly.
