Role Summary:
The Accountant I position is integral to the success of our financial operations, assisting in various accounting functions. The selected candidate will collaborate closely with Accounting Leaders and Business Segments to ensure the successful execution of our financial objectives. Key responsibilities include:
- Timely and accurate completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
- Management of ongoing accounting for derivatives and treasury transactions.
- Analysis of financial statements and variance explanations.
- Maintenance of a robust control environment.
- Participation in project work and process enhancements.
Key Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong financial and business acumen.
- Proficient accounting and analytical skills.
- Proven ability to identify and implement process improvements.
- Familiarity with SAP, BPC, BI, or similar accounting systems.

Accounting Duties:

- Review financial information for inconsistencies.
- Ensure account reconciliations comply with US GAAP and company policies.
- Collaborate with accounting leaders to resolve issues promptly.
- Support the Senior Treasury Analyst II with technical accounting tasks.
- Engage in Balance Sheet Reviews to understand financial relationships.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of financial reporting and general ledger structures.
- Pursue ongoing education and training opportunities.
Process Improvement:
- Demonstrate a clear understanding of accounting processes and drive enhancements.
- Facilitate the monthly, quarterly, and annual close cycles.
- Provide accurate journal entries for assigned areas.
- Conduct thorough reviews and analyses of financial data.
- Complete account reconciliations in a timely manner.
Analytical Skills:
