Position Summary:
As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for ensuring a welcoming and efficient experience for all guests and visitors. Your role will involve managing reservations, facilitating check-in and check-out processes, and maintaining a friendly lodging atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Handle incoming phone calls and in-person inquiries regarding lodging reservations while assisting guests with their needs.
  2. Execute check-in and check-out procedures using an electronic hotel management system.
  3. Process payments, reconcile receipts, and generate daily lodging reports, ensuring accurate financial records and cash drawer management.
  4. Assist in kitchen operations, including preparing and serving breakfast items, washing dishes, and maintaining cleanliness in food preparation and dining areas.
  5. Maintain regular attendance and adhere to the assigned work schedule; this position requires on-site presence.
  6. Follow all company policies and safety guidelines as outlined in the employee handbook.
  7. Utilize an electronic time management system for recording attendance and submitting time-off requests.
Additional Responsibilities:
  1. Perform light housekeeping duties such as dusting, changing linens, vacuuming, and cleaning guest bathrooms.
  2. Assist guests with travel arrangements, including transportation logistics as necessary.
  3. Be available to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required by business needs.
  4. Communicate with other local hospitality establishments and various departments as needed.
Qualifications:

Education:
  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
Skills and Competencies:
  • Ability to apply knowledge and skills effectively to achieve results.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality service while seeking opportunities for improvement.
  • Promote a safe and inclusive environment characterized by integrity and honesty.
Experience:
  1. Minimum one year of experience in hotel/motel or guest services.
  2. Familiarity with phone systems for handling incoming calls and providing interdepartmental support.
  3. Strong customer service skills.
  4. Prior experience in cash handling or cashier roles.
  5. Effective verbal and written communication skills for interaction with diverse guests and staff.
  6. Basic office skills, including proficiency with office equipment and room setup.
  7. Preferred experience in cleaning or physically demanding roles.
Technical Skills:
  • Basic proficiency in MS Office Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Competence in keyboarding and data entry.
  • Experience with hotel management software is preferred, or the ability to learn and operate such systems.
Certifications:
  • Valid Food Handler's Permit (training will be provided).
Other Requirements:
  • Completion of pre-employment skills assessments in MS Word, Data Entry, and Basic Office Skills.
  • Bilingual skills in Spanish and English are required when indicated.

Work Environment:
This position involves working in a lodging and conference center environment, requiring various physical activities such as standing, walking, and operating equipment. The role may involve exposure to cleaning chemicals and requires adherence to safety protocols.
