Job Overview

The Chief Operations Executive at Saint Luke's East Hospital will be accountable for the comprehensive management of daily operations within the facility. This pivotal role is tasked with ensuring that all resources, including facilities, processes, workforce, equipment, and technology, are effectively prioritized and aligned to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

The Chief Operations Executive will oversee the hospital's array of services and programs, guiding their development to align with community needs and the strategic objectives of the hospital and health system. In collaboration with the Chief Financial Officer and the executive team, this leader will be responsible for formulating operating and capital budgets, while also managing expenditures and continuously refining the organization’s cost structure.

Close collaboration with key stakeholders is essential, including medical staff, regional leadership, service line leaders, and system support functions, to enhance and optimize hospital operations. Additionally, in partnership with Human Resources leadership, the Chief Operations Executive will ensure that workforce and leadership structures are effectively organized to provide safe and high-quality patient care.

This role also encompasses the responsibility of ensuring that critical processes are established and functioning efficiently to achieve desired outcomes. Proficiency in data-driven management is expected, with a focus on establishing metrics and appropriate dashboards to identify opportunities for improvement and track performance trends.

As a vital member of the executive team at Saint Luke's East Hospital and the South & East Region, the Chief Operations Executive will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer of the South & East Region.
