About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Information Systems Security Engineer to join our team at ARA. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure IT networks within a DoD and DCSA environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement secure IT networks, including planning, operating, and maintaining IT systems.
  • Conduct assessments of existing IT architecture to ensure efficiency and compliance with DoD, NIST, CMMC, and RMF guidelines.
  • Provide continuous monitoring and Authority to Operate (ATO) effort support.
  • Develop IT security, design, and enhancement policy.
  • Create documentation to support enhancement and security decisions within network design and sustainment.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and liaison between high-level security policies/requirements and technical/system administrator teams.
  • Design, implement, and operate the Cisco DNA Center appliance, software, and configurations of all network-based configurations.
  • Configure, monitor, and operate the Cisco ASA Firewall appliance.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or related field.
  • Years of related experience, with experience may be accepted as a substitute for a degreed program.
  • Years of experience as an Information System Security Manager (ISSM) and years in a technical implementation role.
  • Technical training/coursework in Information Communications Systems, Information Assurance, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
  • Ability to obtain DoD certification within months of hire.
  • Able to obtain and maintain DoD Security Clearance.

  • Advanced knowledge of Servers, Virtualization, Networking, Routing, Cloud, Firewalls, Wireless, Client Systems, RMF, NIST, CMMC, and ATO process
