Position Overview:
The Office of Creative Propulsion (OCP) at the Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking an enthusiastic individual for the role of Arts Engagement and Operations Specialist. This position plays a crucial role in fostering collaboration and innovation within the arts community, supporting both students and faculty in their creative endeavors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate and support ongoing and new community engagement initiatives within OCP and the College of Visual and Performing Arts (CVPA).
- Oversee the management of the Roop Hall suite and its resources, ensuring it serves as a vibrant hub for multidisciplinary collaboration.
- Act as the primary point of contact for OCP, providing assistance to visitors and coordinating events and meetings.
- Conduct research and reporting on the impact of arts initiatives within the university and surrounding community.
- Assist in identifying and applying for external funding opportunities to support OCP's mission.
- Collaborate with various departments to promote OCP's achievements and initiatives.
- Manage and update the OCP website and social media presence, ensuring content is current and engaging.
- Support the Arts Internship Program, providing guidance and oversight to interns.
- Assist with budget management and administrative tasks as needed.
- Stay informed about current trends and research in the arts sector.
