General Information:

The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking applications for two Athletics Engagement Coordinator positions within the Athletics Fan Engagement Department.

Responsibilities:

The Athletics Engagement Coordinator will report to the Associate Director of Fan Engagement and play a crucial role in the fan engagement operations. This position will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing marketing strategies for assigned sports.
  • Creating initiatives to enhance attendance and game day experiences.
  • Assisting with promotions and operations for various athletic events.
  • Supporting special projects and initiatives as needed.

This role requires presence at both office settings and various athletic events.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications include:

  • Experience in Athletics Fan Engagement or Marketing, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Self-motivated individual with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a positive attitude.
  • Strong writing and editing skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Outgoing personality with the ability to engage with diverse groups.
  • Creative thinker with a focus on sales and promotion.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Additional preferred qualifications include:

  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Experience in brand or athletics marketing.
  • Interest in collegiate athletics.

Conditions of Employment:

Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check. This is a part-time wage position with flexible hours.
