The global Information Technology (IT) division is spearheading initiatives to align IT with Business Strategy, maximize IT investments, and enhance end-to-end business processes and related information integration technologies. Through these initiatives, IT aids in strengthening Corning's competitive edge through IT-enabled processes. IT also provides Information Technology applications, infrastructure, and project services efficiently to Corning globally.

The MES Operations Lead position will oversee an international team of technical professionals responsible for collaborating with users and IT personnel to support standardized Camstar/PAC MES solutions across a worldwide framework.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Supervision: Manage a distributed, diverse team of contractors and permanent staff.
  • Operational Management: Handle incidents and service requests, lead rapid response efforts, maintain operational processes and incident response documentation, develop standard operating procedures and knowledge base articles, coordinate incident escalation, and drive continuous improvements and definitions.
  • Data Management: Oversee data archiving, monitoring, metric development, tracking, and reporting.
  • Support Operations: Ensure 24/7 support and response, identify and address system/solution issues, perform environment maintenance and related customer communications, monitor systems and recover as necessary, conduct routine operational monitoring, assess server performance and take action when needed, perform root cause analysis, facilitate deployments and migrations, and maintain the development environment.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Conduct operations meetings, engage with end-user customers as required, and provide monthly operations status updates to key stakeholders.

Educational Requirement:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, systems management, IT-related field, or equivalent work experience.

Required Skills:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a supervisory capacity.
  • Strong comprehension of Manufacturing Execution Systems.
  • Thorough knowledge of industry best practices in application development.
  • Experience with IT systems in a 24/7 manufacturing setting.

Desired Skills:

  • Excellent communication, presentation, organizational, facilitation, and negotiation skills, including the ability to bridge business and technology needs.
  • Capability to influence decisions through critical thinking based on experience and understanding of the project's strategic intent.
  • Experience collaborating with Operational/Development teams.
  • Strong leadership and project management abilities.

Travel Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally.

This position does not support immigration sponsorship.

The compensation range for this role is $127,000 to $175,692.00, assuming full-time status. Starting pay for the successful candidate will depend on various job-related factors, including geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. Benefits for this position are contingent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and paid time off.
