BarrMax, a polyethylene tape renowned for its exceptional strength and rigidity, is a remarkable addition to our offerings. Its unique composition renders it significantly stronger than steel on a weight-for-weight basis.

The production machinery for BarrMax has been expertly transferred from Europe to our new state-of-the-art facility. This advanced German manufacturing equipment is currently being reassembled, with plans for operational trials to commence soon.

We seek dedicated individuals to contribute to this innovative project. You will play a crucial role in fostering a culture of respect and operational excellence. As production scales, there will be opportunities for you to mentor new staff and potentially step into leadership roles.

The work environment is exceptional: clean, well-lit, quiet, and equipped with air conditioning. The facility includes ample parking, fitness centers, food services, and various amenities.

Initially, the work schedule will be Monday to Friday during the day, transitioning to a rotating shift pattern as production demands increase.

Position Summary

As part of a small team, you will be responsible for operating the machinery that produces BarrMax tape.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate all machinery involved in the BarrMax tape production process, including:
    • Loading polymer super sacs
    • Handling rolls of tape
    • Setting up and initiating production lines
    • Monitoring and adjusting processes to maintain product specifications
    • Conducting product approval tests using precision measuring tools
    • Packaging and labeling finished products for shipment
  • Ensure a safe working environment and address safety concerns promptly.
  • Identify quality issues and participate in their resolution.
  • Utilize ERP software for material management, production reporting, and test result documentation.
  • Perform assigned preventive maintenance on production equipment.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of equipment and work areas for subsequent shifts.
  • Assist in training new employees to ensure their successful integration.
  • Undertake additional duties as required, including cross-training in different departments.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; technical education is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment as a machine or process operator.
  • Proficient in English communication, including speaking, writing, and listening.
  • Strong leadership and training capabilities.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.
  • Excellent mechanical aptitude and comfort with basic repairs and adjustments.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with measurement tools and competence in metric systems.
  • Basic math skills for measurement and quantity calculations.
  • Computer proficiency for ERP tasks and communication.
  • Forklift operation experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Working Conditions:

  • Manufacturing environment within a climate-controlled facility.
  • Requires prolonged periods of standing and walking.
  • Involves significant lifting and loading, utilizing appropriate tools and equipment.
  • Must be capable of moving, bending, pushing, and lifting up to 60 lbs.
  • Involves the use of sharp tools.
