Job Summary

Conflux Systems is seeking a highly skilled Process Operator/Crane Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for setting up and operating complex equipment and processes to produce high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate a variety of equipment, including robotic systems, furnaces, and laser cutters, to produce high-quality products.
  • Work from detailed drawings, specifications, and written instructions to interpret and execute manufacturing processes.
  • Load and unload materials from equipment and move materials to next operations, using material handling devices such as jib and B/C cranes and forklifts.
  • Perform minor operations on equipment, such as changing nozzles, verifying oil levels, and checking filters.
  • Work according to established procedures and policies, adapting to various situations and adjusting to shifting priorities.
  • Collaborate with coworkers to provide assistance, training, and support as needed.
  • Complete detailed records and other information, as required by systems, to ensure accurate tracking and reporting.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, performing preventative maintenance and ensuring proper tooling and equipment are returned to their designated locations.
  • Assist the quality organization with measuring, testing, and charting operational information, as well as recording data.
  • Follow established procedures to operate machinery and equipment, performing in-process and integrity checks to maintain specific drawing tolerances.
  • Use precision measuring instruments and complicated drawings to perform complex process operations, requiring a high level of attention to detail and manual dexterity.
Requirements
  • 2-3 years of applied trades training, working with stainless alloys, and experience with blueprints, metrology, and visual weld inspection.
  • Ability to use close tolerance measuring devices, perform measurement conversions, and read, write, understand, and follow verbal and/or written instructions.
  • Must have the ability to complete forklift, crane operator, and LPI certifications, as well as have U.S. Citizenship or Canada Citizenship.
  • 2-4 years of experience with processes and procedures of the set-ups, operations, and various products, tools, and equipment used for one phase of manufacturing by the Transitions department at Siemens.
  • Requires the use of significant judgment, initiative, and ingenuity to work independently and meet objectives for involved and complex jobs.
  • Ability to devise methods and procedures to meet unusual conditions and assist in solving complex problems on a multitude of processes.
  • General mental and visual attention is necessary when performing complex process operations to hold close tolerances per drawing specifications.
  • Must have normal or corrected vision, hearing, and the ability to smell to be aware of proper operation of machinery and detect any potential safety hazards.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, stretch, reach, stand, walk, and rotate body, as well as occasionally lift/carry/push/pull lathe drivers and other items weighing approximately 5 to 25 pounds over 70% of the time.
  • Lifting of items up to 50 pounds weight can be expected of the operator.
  • Good manual dexterity for CNC and manual equipment, grasping and handling tools, etc.
