The successful candidate will possess a solid background in quality assurance, ideally within the beverage sector, and will have 2-3 years of relevant experience.

Position Overview:

The Quality Assurance Supervisor plays a crucial role in enhancing and directing the Quality department's initiatives to align with the organization's priorities, including Safety, Employee Engagement, Quality Standards, Customer Satisfaction, and Cost Efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote and uphold a safe working environment by establishing clear expectations for safety practices.
  • Encourage and nurture positive morale among employees.
  • Maintain a steadfast commitment to quality, consistently achieving or surpassing quality benchmarks.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service both internally and externally.
  • Effectively manage the budget within the QA department, covering labor, materials, and other resources.
  • Ensure comprehensive training for new hires and continuous development for existing staff.
  • Guide, develop, and mentor the QA team to foster a high-performance, collaborative environment.
  • Complete additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Quality Assurance practices in a manufacturing context.
  • Experience in laboratory settings, with familiarity in operating laboratory equipment.
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in a QA management or leadership capacity.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends and holidays as necessary.
  • Proficient in computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • A college degree is preferred, with a focus on Biology, Chemistry, or Food Science.

Essential Competencies:

  • Organizational Skills: Comprehensive understanding of Quality Assurance operations and the ability to coordinate QA activities based on operational needs.
  • Operational Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of line processes and fundamental manufacturing principles.
  • Safety Awareness: Strong understanding of safety regulations and the ability to enforce safety protocols.
  • Quality Standards Knowledge: Familiarity with GMP, HACCP, Safe Quality Food Principles, Food Defense Principles, and Management Systems.
