Job Title: HVAC Project Manager


Position Overview: The HVAC Project Manager is responsible for directing and overseeing HVAC projects from start to finish, ensuring timely completion, adherence to budget constraints, and client satisfaction. This role requires collaboration with various stakeholders, resource management, and upholding high standards of quality and safety.
Examples of projects include residential replacements, new construction HVAC systems, and remodeling for homes and full apartment complexes.
Key Responsibilities:


  1. Project Planning:
    • Create detailed project plans that define scope, timelines, budgets, resources, and key milestones.
    • Determine project needs and allocate essential resources, including labor, materials, and equipment.
  2. Coordination and Supervision:
    • Manage and coordinate HVAC installation teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure effective project execution.
    • Conduct regular site inspections to track progress, ensure compliance with specifications, and resolve any issues.
  3. Budget Management:
    • Develop and oversee project budgets, including cost estimates, expenditures, and financial documentation.
    • Monitor expenses to ensure projects remain within budget and implement cost-saving strategies.
  4. Scheduling:
    • Create and maintain project schedules to guarantee timely completion of all phases.
    • Adjust schedules as necessary to accommodate changes, delays, or unexpected circumstances.
  5. Quality Assurance:
    • Ensure all work meets rigorous quality standards and complies with industry codes and regulations.
    • Perform quality inspections and promptly address any deficiencies.
  6. Safety Compliance:
    • Foster and enforce a safety culture on all job sites.
    • Ensure all team members follow safety protocols and OSHA regulations.
  7. Client Communication:
    • Act as the primary liaison for clients, providing regular updates on project status and addressing any concerns.
    • Ensure client satisfaction by maintaining strong relationships and delivering exceptional service.
  8. Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including contracts, change orders, progress reports, and closeout documents.
    • Prepare and present project status reports to management and clients.
  9. Problem Solving:
    • Identify and resolve project-related challenges promptly and effectively.
    • Implement solutions to keep projects on track and prevent future issues.
  10. Continuous Improvement:
    • Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices.
    • Implement process enhancements to improve project efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated experience as a project manager in the HVAC sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, installation practices, and industry standards.
  • Exceptional project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Understanding of safety regulations and compliance requirements.
  • PMP certification is advantageous.
Work Environment:
  • Combination of office duties and on-site project management.
  • Occasional travel to job sites and client meetings.
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions and environments.
Physical Requirements:
  • Capability to perform site inspections and navigate construction sites.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
