Objective:

The Home Care Consultant plays a crucial role in achieving revenue targets for the designated area. This revenue is generated through various Sales and Marketing initiatives, which include identifying and pursuing new referral sources while also enhancing and maintaining relationships with current referral sources. The position requires regular reporting of results to the Manager, discussing achievements and potential opportunities, and demonstrating documented progress in Sales/Marketing/Networking efforts.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Exemplify the core values of Home Instead Senior Care.
  • Research and cultivate relationships within the Referral Provider Network to generate referrals; manage all stages of the consultative sales process, including preparation and documentation of outreach efforts, follow-ups, assessing referral source and client needs, recommending suitable Home Instead services, and additional community resources. Maintain and nurture existing referral accounts with necessary follow-ups.
  • Meet inquiry generation goals for the assigned territory, focusing on acquiring new business to enhance overall market share. Target accounts include hospitals, physicians, home health agencies, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, senior centers, hospice, rehabilitation centers, etc.
  • Collaborate with Home Instead franchise leadership to develop sales and marketing strategies, outlining weekly and monthly activities aimed at meeting or surpassing established objectives.
  • Acquire and maintain comprehensive knowledge of the Home Instead brand. Effectively present marketing materials and services to referral providers through one-on-one meetings and organized group presentations.
  • Keep accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities, including sales calls, presentations, closed sales, and follow-up activities within the assigned territory, utilizing software to optimize territory potential.
  • Build a database of qualified leads from referrals through face-to-face outreach, email, phone, and online channels.
  • Conduct Service Inquiries and Care Consultations as required, following the consultative sales approach.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
  • Engage in and contribute to the development of educational programs for clients, prospects, and colleagues.
Secondary Responsibilities:
  • Assist in CAREGiver recruitment efforts as necessary.
  • Facilitate client/CAREGiver introductions as needed.
  • Conduct quality assurance (QA) visits with clients as required.
  • Participate in various public relations strategies.
Education/Experience Requirements:
  • A college degree or equivalent work experience is required.
  • Relevant business or sales experience (consultative sales experience is a plus).
  • A valid driver's license is necessary.
