Job Summary: The Catering Supervisor is responsible for coordinating the schedules of catering staff to ensure that all events are executed, served, and cleared efficiently. This role includes preparing and serving food at scheduled events under the guidance of the Catering Director. The position may also involve driving a vehicle to deliver food and beverages to catered events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess workload requirements based on catering orders.
  • Meet with event leaders to discuss setup arrangements and address any last-minute changes or issues.
  • Engage with customers and resolve complaints in a service-oriented manner.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of menu items.
  • Guide staff on work expectations for catered events.
  • Assist staff in setting up rooms according to specifications.
  • Assemble and deliver food and supplies to designated locations.
  • Serve food and beverages to guests.
  • Return food, beverages, serving equipment, and utensils to the catering facility.
  • Ensure proper presentation, portion control, and maintenance of serving temperatures, adhering to HACCP standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of all equipment, supplies, and utensils.
  • Ensure proper food preparation by following approved recipes and production standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
