Objective of the Regional Food and Beverage Operations Manager : Efficiently and proactively oversees the daily operations of the Events Department and Food & Beverage Services. This includes providing support and direction to the banquet team, the Catering and Convention Services team, the Convention Services floor department, Banquet Beverage, and all Food & Beverage Services. This role also involves close collaboration and communication with all hotel departments to ensure successful and effective events that result in a positive guest experience.

The Regional Food and Beverage Operations Manager Responsibilities may include:

• Support and manage the Events Department and Food & Beverage Services while collaborating closely with the Food and Beverage Director and other hotel departments. Leadership responsibilities may also encompass Convention Services Set Up and Banquet Beverage.

• Supervise, empower, lead, coach, and motivate the banquet team, including captains, food servers, and lead house attendants, as well as the service teams towards achieving outstanding guest service outcomes and complete associate engagement.

• Assist the hotel in achieving top service scores on our Meeting Planner surveys. Ensure clear communication and understanding with guests and other departments by reviewing Banquet and Outlet Event Orders. Responsible for the appropriate and timely setup of all functions and meetings while upholding standards of food, beverage, and meeting specifications.

• Proactively assess staffing and equipment requirements.

• Ensure coordination and execution of all events with Culinary, Stewarding, Catering/CS, CS Floor, and Beverage departments.

• Maintain a high-energy, positive, and professional appearance.

• Develop innovative and creative decor for Banquet function spaces.

• Oversee short and long-term banquet functions in both front and back of the house.

• Foster an environment that establishes the highest standards of quality service and ensures implementation through effective hiring, training, development, promotion, and continuous reinforcement.

• Administrative tasks may include managing payroll, reports, forecasts, point of sale procedures, inventory, and budget for food and beverage functions.

• Conduct daily inspections in the banquet department, food & beverage services, all function spaces, and storerooms to ensure compliance with health regulations and Hyatt Corporate standards.

• Generate ideas for special events and holiday functions.

The Regional Food and Beverage Operations Manager is a vital part of the hotel's overall Food and Beverage team. Your colleagues will collaborate with the Restaurant Manager, Executive Steward, Beverage Manager, and Room Service Manager to ensure a successful Food & Beverage Team. Qualifications:
  • Full-Time Management Position requiring full flexibility, including the ability to work weekends and holidays and a varied schedule.
  • A genuine desire to understand and anticipate the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in general computer knowledge.
  • Candidates should be highly creative, innovative, detail-oriented, and organized.
  • Hotel experience and a comprehensive understanding of all levels of banquet service and food & beverage operations.
  • Previous experience as an Event Services Manager/Assistant, Food & Beverage Outlet Manager, Event Services Captain, or Event Services Supervisor preferred.
  • Must possess the following strengths: high energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leadership, effective communication, strong development and training skills, and excellence in providing exceptional customer service.
