JOB SUMMARY/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: The Food Services Supervisor plays a crucial role in assisting the Manager at the Chick-fil-A establishment by overseeing daily operations and ensuring exceptional service quality for all patrons. This position is vital in maintaining high standards of guest satisfaction and employee performance.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Demonstrates outstanding customer service while upholding the Chick-fil-A brand standards and values.
- Ensures guest satisfaction and that staff maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Facilitates employee training, ensuring that all team members understand restaurant policies and procedures, providing guidance and recommending disciplinary actions when necessary.
- Collaborates with leadership to foster staff development, serving as a mentor and coach.
- Completes all required training sessions successfully.
- Responsible for opening and closing the restaurant as scheduled.
- Assigns employee shifts and assesses task performance and completion.
- Proposes recommendations for improvements in restaurant operations or culture to the General Manager.
- Conducts daily safety and health checks before opening and closing shifts.
- Records temperatures of food items in accordance with operational guidelines.
- May drive to events for catering purposes as needed.
- Performs additional related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION: High school diploma or GED (TRANSCRIPT REQUIRED)
EXPERIENCE: A minimum of four (4) years in food service or restaurant retail, including two (2) years in a management or supervisory role is preferred. Attendance at required training sessions is mandatory. (ServSafe or equivalent certification is required).
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Ability to cultivate a collaborative work environment and maintain a respectful attitude towards colleagues, supervisors, and customers.
- Familiarity with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards and health department regulations.
- Understanding of restaurant industry standards and operational procedures, including Chick-fil-A training and food safety protocols.
- Knowledge of menu items and excellent customer service skills.
- Basic math and fundamental computer skills.
- Effective communication skills with guests and team members.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including standing for extended periods and lifting up to 40 lbs.
- Capability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Team-oriented mindset.
