About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Instructional Content Developer to join our team at Penn State University. This is a remote position that offers a collaborative and dynamic work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with faculty to design and develop online courses, ensuring a high-quality learning experience for students.
  • Function as a lead project manager, utilizing technology-enhanced systems to develop content for various delivery modes, including Canvas.
  • Develop a solid understanding of pedagogical principles, instructional systems theory, and application of existing and emerging educational technologies.
  • Utilize multimedia development processes, accessibility, and copyright requirements to ensure compliance and best practices.
  • Manage the scope, timeline, and deliverables of multiple projects simultaneously, requiring strong communication, collaboration, time management, troubleshooting, and teamwork skills.

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree and 1+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Working knowledge of Canvas or similar Learning Management Systems.
  • Demonstrated collaboration and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and maintain effective professional relationships.
  • Background in the integration of educational technology, including knowledge of and experience with immersive experiences.
  • Knowledge of Universal Design for Learning is preferred.
