Job Title: Process Optimization Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Process Optimization Specialist to join our team at Loparex. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for optimizing manufacturing processes to improve quality, productivity, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Liaise with Operations, Quality, and Plant Technology teams to ensure optimal quality and productivity on Malvern process lines.
  • Support the development of operator training processes and documentation, and ensure all job instructions, recipes, and processes are followed.
  • Work with Quality and Operations to establish machine process capabilities by product to optimize efficiency, productivity, and product quality.
  • Support the Quality, Application Technology, and Commercial Teams to establish internal and external product specifications that fall within established machine capabilities.
  • Investigate and resolve customer concerns or complaints, and support the implementation of root cause and corrective action analysis.
  • Investigate and evaluate new technologies, equipment, and raw materials.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Engineering, Plastics, or Polymer Technology, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a technical position in plastics manufacturing, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with Design of Experiments to optimize quality and productivity.
  • Hands-on working knowledge of blown film extrusion, release film, silicone coating, and slitting operations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate orally and in writing, and ability to instruct employees one-on-one and in a group setting.
  • Computer literate, with experience with industrial ERP systems, preferably SAP.
  • Statistical analysis skills, including process capability and data trend analysis.
