Role Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned and proactive individual to take on the role of Procurement Operations Manager. This position is pivotal in ensuring the security of our raw material supply chain and fostering strategic supplier relationships.


Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and execute procurement strategies for raw materials to ensure supply reliability and long-term value creation.
2. Cultivate and manage supplier partnerships, monitoring performance and tracking cost efficiencies.
3. Oversee the contracting process, including RFP development, bid evaluations, contract negotiations, and performance assessments.
4. Act as a subject matter expert, leading initiatives aimed at process optimization and cost reduction.
5. Stay informed about market trends impacting raw material sourcing.
6. Mentor team members to align with corporate objectives and enhance professional growth.
7. Ensure adherence to corporate policies and procedures.
8. Provide comprehensive reporting, forecasting, and pricing insights to stakeholders.
9. Coordinate material trials with both internal and external partners.
10. Support supplier diversity and sustainability initiatives.


Qualifications:

- Bachelor's Degree required (Preferred fields: Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, Finance)
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or strategic sourcing.
- Proven track record in negotiating and executing multi-year contracts.
- Strong leadership capabilities with a focus on collaboration and influence.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
- Willingness to travel as needed.

Additional Desired Qualifications:
- Demonstrated analytical skills with a history of developing and implementing actionable plans.
- Experience in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
- Background in the chemical industry, with experience in cross-functional team collaboration.
- Familiarity with SAP and Ariba enterprise software is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
