About the Role

As a Procurement Specialist, you will play a critical role in driving the success of our data center projects. Your responsibilities will encompass a broad range of procurement and supply chain management tasks, with a focus on optimizing cost, availability, and operational efficiency for critical data center equipment and materials.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive Procurement Program to support the mission-critical market
  • Strategically develop and implement commodity/supply chain strategies to maximize value, leverage, and standardization
  • Establish and maintain purchasing best practices and procedures, including RFP processes, bid leveling, and purchase order requirements
  • Develop and negotiate commercial terms for vendor Master Service Agreements (MSAs)
  • Determine and collect data to execute and govern programs, maintaining project trackers and status reports
  • Build trusted relationships with program stakeholders, manage their expectations, and provide insights
  • Establish supply plans to position materials in alignment with demand while meeting financial objectives
  • Develop and justify inventory buffer strategies to optimize cost and flexibility
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to procure materials and ensure availability to fulfill customer needs
  • Negotiate long-term national contracts to support multi-site procurement initiatives
  • Establish and manage an Inventory Management Program to ensure the necessary equipment and materials are available to support customer SLAs
  • Implement and maintain a Vendor Management Program, including a Vendor screening process and Vendor performance reviews

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a relevant field
  • 1-5 years of experience in supply chain, materials, or inventory management; or data center program or project management is preferred
